CLARIS water filter works on the professional counterflow principle and always filters exactly the amount of water needed for preparation. The filter contains a mineral substance that stabilizes calcium carbonate, also known as lime, and ensures that it cannot clog the machine.
Thanks to its revolutionary formula, the JURA filter cartridges can be used worldwide and with any type of tap water. The granulate in the filters not only filters limescale, but also reduces other (harmful) substances that can affect the taste of coffee, such as traces of fluorides, chlorine, lead, copper and other minerals or metals that can come along from the water supply.
The new protection formula is specially developed for modern full automatic machines with One-Touch Cappuccino function. It contains a mineral substance that stabilizes calcium carbonate (lime). As a result, the calcium carbonate does not deposit in the circulation system even during regular steam preparation. In this way, clogging of pipes is actively prevented.
In theory not, but from Kaldi we still recommend regular descaling with JURA descaling tablets, especially if your JURA espresso machine indicates this. JURA Claris filters should also be replaced regularly, although this entirely depends on how the full automatic machine is used or the hardness of the water used by the machine. So please follow the instructions and notices for your JURA espresso machine at all times.
